Volunteer
Beyond the masks, we are always looking for volunteers who can help us meet the demand in our community, such as:
Driving materials/masks
Prepare sewing kits
Mask tie makers
Photographers
Community Leaders
Learn more about different volunteering opportunities below and fill out this form to let us know about how you'd like to help!
How can you help?
DRIVING:
We need volunteer drivers to do porch pickups and organization drop-offs. If you think you could help with this, get started by filling out and submitting this "Volunteer Mask Pickup/Delivery Form".
Take a look through this important document: Recommended Safety Guidance for Volunteer Drivers.
MASK TIE MAKING:
Use a bias maker to iron pre-cut ties before they are sewn. This is a simple way to support our mask sewers. Volunteers will follow the same safety procedures as sewing volunteers. Fill out this form to indicate your interest.
PREPARING SEWING KITS:
Cut elastic + fabric, count materials for 20 masks to be made, and package. We will provide materials and instructions. Fill out this form to indicate your interest.
PHOTOGRAPHY:
Send in Alaskan photography to be used for flyer backgrounds! Credit will be given on all photos used! Fill out this form to get involved.
LOCAL COMMUNITY LEADERSHIP:
We are looking for local leaders to own Alaska Mask Makers logistics in communities around the state. Email alaskamaskmakers@gmail.com if you would be interested in learning more.
